Creation Of The Universe
Introduction Continued..
In the year 610 A.D., about 1,403 years ago, the Islamic religion emerged, and a Holy Book from God the Creator was revealed to an illiterate prophet at the age of 40. This prophet had never been in any school in his entire life, and God sent to him the angel Gabriel and revealed to him the new Holy Book called the Al Quran. This was the Last Testament, and God called the new religion “Islam”. The word Islam is derived from the word “El Salam”. This is one of the 99 known descriptive names for God, and it means “peace”.
God described this book as the everlasting book for the guidance of all humanity. In the book, there are many chapters and
verses that describe the oneness of God. He was the Creator of the entire universe, plant kingdoms, and animal kingdoms before the creation of humanity to provide for all the needs of mankind. Then He created Adam from clay and Eve from a living part of Adam, and He created the reproductive systems in their bodies so they could multiply and fill out the entire world. He sent to them, from among them, many prophets to give them a message to worship only the Creator, for He will judge all people and punish or reward them according to their behavior and conduct on Earth. In this Holy Book, God (Allah) described the social laws, business laws, etc., that were to be used as foundations to judge and manage misunderstandings, disputes, and differences in opinion among humans when they occur.
Also in this Holy Book, the Creator described in brief many facts about the universe, including how it was created and formed and how the sun, Earth, moon, and many other planets were made. It also explains how the different layers of the Earth were formed, the role of mountains on the Earth, the atmosphere and its different layers, and the other galaxies and the expanding distance between them, among other things.
All these scientific theories, that were described in brief in the Quran 1,435 years ago, have been discovered and proven facts by scientists in the last generation, especially with space shuttle discoveries. Many discoveries were only proven after the invention of the electronic microscope and ultrasound equipment, which helped develop the new science called modern embryology. There are so many facts — too many to list actually. There are also many new discoveries that will be proven as facts in the future.
